How to Make Your Overalls Look Cool

Overalls are one of my favorite items to wear. I always get compliments whenever I wear them, but those compliments sometimes are followed with “I don’t think they would look good on me”, or “I think I’ll look like a farmer”. I am here to prove you wrong. Overalls are great for everyone no matter height or size. I want to show you how to style your overalls and make them look cool. From farm vibes to cool girl vibes. Here is how to make your overalls look cool.

Add Structure

A great way to balance out the relaxed fit of overalls is by adding structure. By adding a blazer the overalls already have a completely different feel. You can easily wear this into the office on a more casual day, or even on a lunch date. Don’t be afraid to try out different style pieces whether it is a blazer, or a motorcycle jacket. Mix in Formal Pieces

By pairing my overalls with a structured blazer, black heeled boots and a black leather bag, I can easily wear this outfit on a date night. The blazer with the gold detailed buttons really helps dress up the look. I love mixing more casual pieces (overalls) with more formal styles of clothing. It is such a great combination and really makes your outfit more interesting and stylish. You can also try adding some fancy accessories like an oversized earring with your look.

Add Layers

Play with layers when wearing your overalls. You can add layers under or over your overalls. Layering over your overalls is a great way to get used to the overall trend. Overalls are a more masculine piece of clothing. To soften them up I always add a feminine touch. You can do this with a blouse that has feminine detailing, adding a pair of heels, or adding an accessory like a clutch. I love pairing mine with a pair of heels.
