How To Style A Tank Top And Jeans For Fall
Now that temperatures are starting to drop and leaves are beginning to change their color, it is starting to begin to feel like fall. Cooler temperatures outside call for comfortable jeans, cozy knits, wool blazers and closed toe shoes. However, sometimes it can be tricky when deciding how to build an outfit. Here is how you can create and style a simple tank top and jeans for fall.

First things first, find a pair of comfortable jeans and a high neck tank top. To avoid jeans that may come off as cheap or look like you are dressing too young for your age, I would avoid any distressed denim. I would also look for a pair that is straight cut and not too tight. Something form fitting but still has stretch.

Throw On A Blazer
I know I mention blazers A LOT in my blog, but blazers are such a staple in my wardrobe. I believe every woman should have at least one really good blazer in their closet that they can count on. Blazers are such an easy way to elevate your outfit.
You can go with a print similar to mine or even a solid brown or navy would look just as nice. Neutral colors work great year round and allow the most versatility. A neutral plaid screams fall time in my opinion.

Layer With Knits

For a classic and chic look, layer your blazer with a knit. Now the more basic way to layer with knits is wearing your knits under your blazer. However, I find the overall appearance much more stylish if you layer your knits over your blazer or jacket. It gives a more interesting look to your outfit and offers a bit of texture.

Opt for knits that pair nicely with your blazer. If you have a printed blazer like mine, choose a knit that is solid and picks up a color within your blazer. If you have a solid blazer, you can always add a printed knit with stripes for example. A cable knit design always looks beautiful as well.

Add A Trend

I love trying new trends… even if I am not one hundred percent positive if I will like them or not. I always give a new trend a try. Ballet flats are having a major moment these days in the fashion world. Now, if I decide to wear flats in the cooler months, they are usually loafers or riding boots. However, I wanted to try the ballet flat trend out and I have to say that I love how these shoes tied my outfit together.

Finish With Accessories
To complete your look add in accessories. Pull tones in from your knits, shoes and blazer with your accessories. Try to add a metal piece in with your jewelry. I opted for gold earrings to bring out the golden brown tones in my blazer and knit.

Throw on a classic pair of tortoise sunglasses and a leather bag and your outfit is complete. This look is perfect for hitting the town or heading into the office on a crisp fall day.
