How To Wear Crochet This Summer

One trend that I will be wearing all summer long is crochet. I already have a few pieces of crochet items in my closet, so I wanted to share how I personally would style and wear crochet. Crochet is appropriate for just about anything. It can be layered, dressed up for a more formal gathering, or even be styled as a cover-up for a beach or pool day. Here is how to wear crochet this summer.

With Denim Shorts

For a casual outing with friends or family I paired a crochet top with denim shorts. Crochet can look very beachy so to make it more suitable for an everyday outfit try mixing in heavier fabrics like denim to give a less beachy feel.

I really love the combination of the beige tone crochet with denim. To continue with the beige tone, I added a wicker bag and some brown suede wrap-up heels. This outfit is perfect for a family picnic or a day in town.

As A Cover-Up

A great perk of crochet is that it is lightweight enough to wear on the beach. Crochet allows air to filter through to give a cooling effect which makes a perfect option for a cover-up.

I styled this white crochet dress as a cover-up by pairing it with a high waisted bikini underneath. I can easily take this look from the beach or pool to a quick lunch outside.

Since this is a full beach look I paired my crochet with wicker slides and a straw bag that is suitable for the beach. Additionally, I added a straw hat and a fun pair of sunnies. Perfect for a day in the sun!

For Date Night

Nothing says summer more than a lwd (little white dress). I love white dresses for the summertime, and this crochet one is perfect. You can wear this dress anywhere, but for me I personally would wear this for a night out with my husband for dinner and drinks.

Since it’s summertime, I paired my lwd with a fun printed gingham bag and colorful lace-up sandals. You could do heels with this look to really dress it up, but sometimes I just prefer a pair of flats.

Don’t be afraid to go bold with your accessories. Adding pops of color and prints to any look really gives it your own personal touch.
